Trophy Ballistics
Terms of Use
Version 2 November 2026
1. Who we are
Trophy Ballistics is an app by Tactical Trophy, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak), Kieler Bocht 71-24, 9723 JA Groningen, the Netherlands, Dutch Chamber of Commerce no. 93837925, phone +31 85 226 2129, [email protected]. Send questions, complaints and claims about the app to this address.
These terms apply to everyone who uses the app. The app is intended for people aged 18 and over. We provide these terms before the contract is concluded so you can read and save them. The privacy statement is separate information, not general consent to data processing.
2. What the app is
The app is a calculation and record-keeping aid for precision shooting, competition and hunting where lawful. It provides model-based estimates of a projectile’s path from your input and keeps your own records. It does not replace training, safe firearm or airgun handling, or your own judgement. Describing hunting as ethical does not certify that any particular shot is safe, lawful or humane.
Looking up information. The public app currently contains no prefilled manufacturer-specific ammunition data. Add ammo lets you search: a search button opens DuckDuckGo in your own browser with your search text, for factory ammo with the gun’s caliber added, plus a search term for ballistic coefficient or velocity. A recognised brand normally adds a manufacturer-site filter; you may also search the whole web. A filter does not guarantee correct or complete results. The app does not read or store search results or manufacturer pages. You enter the values you find yourself. The mapping of brand names to web addresses is not an ammunition database.
An optional future online ammunition list will contain data only from brands that have given written permission for that use. Downloaded lists may be stored locally for offline use. Availability and contents may change; a brand reference does not imply endorsement or partnership. The specific rights and restrictions of a licence continue to apply.
3. Safety and your own responsibility
Please read this carefully. Firearms and ammunition can kill.
- Results are estimates. They depend on your input, the model, the weather and your gun and ammunition, and they can be wrong. Confirm every result with your own shots before you rely on it.
- Reloading. The app does not establish a safe load or check whether a load is safe. Recording and comparing your measurements does not replace safe reloading data from the manufacturer. Follow the manufacturer's published data. A wrong load can destroy your gun and cause serious injury.
- Chance of a hit and maximum distance. These are estimates from what you entered. They do not guarantee a hit and do not give permission to shoot that far.
- Hunting. You judge whether a shot is responsible. Never rely on the app alone for a shot at game.
- Values you enter or copy. You are responsible for choosing and entering them correctly. Check each value with the manufacturer for the exact product and with your own shots before relying on it; check units, conditions and whether the BC belongs to G1 or G7. If its meaning or origin is unclear, do not treat it as a reliable basis. We do not check, manage or endorse external sites or search results. Merely referring to a brand or site does not affiliate us with its manufacturer. This does not exclude liability for our own errors.
- Ammunition data and weather. Even licensed list data and manufacturer values may be wrong or outdated. Weather is a model value for the area, not a measurement at your gun.
- Third-party rights. Only copy data you may lawfully use. Do not use the app to copy a whole protected database or a substantial part of it or repeatedly collect small parts to reconstruct it. Do not publicly distribute third-party text, images or tables without an appropriate legal basis or permission. Do not bypass access or copying restrictions.
- Airguns. Airgun calculations have not been validated with live shots; no accuracy range has yet been established. A pellet or slug, calculated energy or distance does not establish that use or hunting is lawful or safe. Check local rules for possession, transport, power, use and hunting; these may vary by country, location, species and authorisation. Lawful possession does not mean lawful hunting. Airguns can also cause serious or fatal injury.
- The law. You follow the laws, licences and rules that apply to you, including on the range and when hunting.
You have your own responsibility for safe and lawful use. This does not remove our statutory duties or your consumer rights.
4. Licence
You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under the usage rules in the App Store terms. Use through Family Sharing and Volume Purchasing, where permitted by the App Store usage rules, is also allowed. You may not copy, sell or imitate the app, except as far as the law allows. The rights in the app stay with us.
5. Pro and payment
The current test version previews the free limits; Apple purchases and trials are not active. The following describes the intended offer and will be aligned with the final purchase information before sales begin.
Free. The planned free version allows 2 guns in total across Centerfire, Rimfire and Airgun, 5 photo measurements in total and up to 10 sessions per ammunition profile. This is not 2 guns per type. The photo limit is a usage counter, not a time period or automatically replenished allowance. Your own backup/export and safety warnings remain free. The final feature allocation will be clearly described before purchase.
Pro. An annual subscription and a one-off purchase are planned. Indicative prices: €29.99 per year or €74.99 once; neither is final or a sales offer. Before confirmation, Apple's purchase display specifies the applicable price, currency, taxes, contents and term. A one-off purchase is not a subscription and does not renew annually.
Trial and renewal. The plan is a 14-day (2-week) free trial through Apple for eligible users. For a subscription this is an introductory offer: unless cancelled in time, it converts to the disclosed paid annual period and renews annually. Check the expiry and renewal dates in your Apple account; Apple instructs cancellation at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. Manage or cancel through your Apple account's subscription settings. Annual billing does not remove applicable statutory rights to terminate during an automatically renewed term. Where Dutch consumer rules require it, you can cancel at any time after such renewal with no more than one month's notice. Contact us if Apple's interface does not implement that right; any refund required by law remains available. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. On ordinary cancellation paid access continues until the expiry date shown by Apple; no remaining free-trial access is promised if Apple ends it on cancellation.
After Pro. All previously saved data remains readable and exportable after expiry, even above the free limits. Saved corrections and other stored calculation settings continue to contribute to calculations; they are not disabled or erased solely because Pro expires. Only new Pro actions are blocked. Free features remain available within their limits. This does not mean results can never change with different inputs or a necessary bug fix, and is not a cloud-backup guarantee. Apple determines the effective end of a trial, refund or revocation of a purchase entitlement; retaining saved data and corrections remains our policy in those cases too.
Statutory rights. Cancelling future renewal, withdrawing from a contract and obtaining a refund for a defect are distinct rights. A 14-day trial does not replace a statutory withdrawal right or automatically create a new withdrawal period on conversion or every renewal. An applicable distance contract normally has a 14-day withdrawal period from conclusion. For digital content not on a tangible medium this right may be lost only if the legal requirements are met, including prior express request/consent, acknowledgement of the loss and the required contract confirmation. Downloading, use or general acceptance alone is insufficient. Apple provides withdrawal and refund procedures; contact [email protected] about your rights against us. We do not make statutory remedies depend solely on Apple's discretionary refund policy. Statutory conformity, repair, price-reduction and termination rights remain intact. Required information and confirmation are provided on a durable medium.
6. Maintenance and support
We alone are responsible for maintenance and support, as stated in these terms or required by law. Apple has no obligation in this at all. We provide the functionality and updates you are entitled to expect under the contract and the law, including necessary security updates. External service failures may affect availability but do not remove our statutory obligations. Other changes are subject to section 11.
7. Your data
Your data is on your own device. Without a copy you share, we cannot access or recover your entries. Use the backup function and store exports securely. This does not limit your statutory rights if we are at fault. Exports, support attachments and any device or cloud backups are stored separately. Please read the privacy statement at this page.
8. Liability
Your statutory rights as a consumer always apply, including when the app does not do what it should.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for damage caused by intent or conscious recklessness, for death or injury, for product liability, or in any other case where the law does not allow it to be limited.
Our liability is assessed under applicable law. Your responsibility for input, copying and safe use does not remove our responsibility for errors in the app.
Whether your conduct contributed to damage is assessed under the law. Ignoring a warning does not automatically invalidate a claim.
9. Claims
We, not Apple, handle claims about the app. This covers claims on product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection and privacy, and claims that the app infringes the rights of others. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple; Apple refunds the applicable purchase price. To the extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligations. Other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses arising from a warranty failure are our responsibility. We, not Apple, handle investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of third-party intellectual-property claims. This does not limit our liability beyond what the law permits.
10. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not between you and Apple. We are responsible for the app and its content. The App Store terms continue to apply. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms: once you accept them, Apple may enforce them against you.
You confirm that you are not in a country under a United States embargo or designated by the United States as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on any United States list of prohibited or restricted parties. When you use the app, you follow the third-party terms that apply to that use.
11. Changes
We change existing contracts only as permitted by the contract and the law. Valid reasons for permitted changes during continuous digital supply are legal obligations, security and necessary technical adjustments. Necessary updates remain subject to section 6.
Other changes involve no extra cost and are clearly explained. For a more than minor adverse effect on access or use, we inform you in advance on a durable medium of the change, timing and your rights. Where required by law, you may terminate without charge within 30 days of receiving the information or the change, whichever is later, unless the unchanged conforming version remains available without additional cost. Statutory refund rights remain intact. Changes are not retroactive; we seek renewed acceptance where needed. The version is shown at the top.
12. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the mandatory protection of that country. If you have a complaint, please e-mail us first. If we cannot resolve it, you can go to the competent court.
